Proposed Rules

Fire Department Rules are proposed and adopted in accordance with the Citywide Administrative Procedure Act, Chapter 45 of the New York City Charter.  A proposed rule is one that is currently under consideration.  The public is encouraged to comment on proposed rules.

Proposed Rules

By law, proposed rules must be published by NYC Rules. Below is a list of proposed Fire Department Rules currently under review.

• Fire Safety at Production Locations; Production Location Fire Safety Manager Certificate of Fitness; and Production Location Fire Safety Manager Training Courses
• Miscellaneous Rule Amendments
