In 2016, clinical and non-clinical providers in NYC partnered to create the PlaySure Network for HIV prevention. Medical clinics and front-line community partners work together in the network to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to services, such as HIV testing, HIV treatment, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). These services are the pillars of the State’s and City’s plan to End the Epidemic (EtE).
PlaySure Network members work collaboratively to:
The PlaySure Network is comprised of NYC-supported HIV testing sites, community-based organizations (CBOs), and clinics that offer PrEP and PEP.
NYC-Supported Testing Sites
NYC-Supported Testing Sites provide PrEP/PEP education and navigation to clinical sites for PrEP.
NYC-Supported CBOs
NYC-Supported CBOs provide community outreach, education, and navigation to HIV testing and PrEP/PEP services.
NYC-Supported PrEP/PEP Clinics
NYC-Supported PrEP/PEP clinics provide clients with comprehensive PrEP- or PEP-related clinical services.
NYC PEP Hotline
Patients can call the NYC PEP Hotline at (844) 3-PEPNYC (844-373-7692) 24/7 for help getting started on PEP right away. Operators will connect patients with a clinic that has expertise in providing PEP. For after-hour calls, the hotline can help patients get a PEP starter pack through a pharmacy and connect them with a clinic for the remainder of their PEP regimen.
