NYC childhood lead data are available through the Environment and Health Data Portal. These data are derived from blood lead test results reported to the Health Department.
Each year, the Health Department receives blood lead test results for more than 300,000 children younger than 6 years of age. Lead data available include testing data (children tested before age 3) and blood lead level data, including the number and rate of children younger than 6 with blood lead levels at or above 5 mcg/dL. Data can be organized by neighborhood.
The Health Department provides a range of services for children based on their blood lead level, age and exposure risk.
