Home Water Assistance Program

The Home Water Assistance Program is an initiative to make water and sewer bills more affordable for low-income homeowners. DEP partnered with the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the NYC Department of Finance (DOF) to select over 50,000 qualified one- to four- family homeowners who received the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) Regular Heating Benefit for the 2022–2023 heating season, a Senior Citizens Homeowners Exemption (SCHE), a Disabled Homeowners Exemption (DHE), or a Veteran benefit in Tax Year 2023.
