On January 5, 2016, Local Law 2 of 2016 was enacted, which empowers the mayor of the City of New York to authorize a program to reimburse qualifying non-public schools for the cost of procuring certain security services. The mayor designated the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) as the law’s administering agency, through the DCAS Division of Fiscal & Business Management (FBM). DCAS is responsible for managing all aspects of the citywide initiative, including but not limited to, the processing of applications for new schools, recertifications for existing schools, annual budgets, invoices for reimbursements, and conducting periodic training seminars.
Note: The 2024-2025 application period is currently closed and will open again in Spring 2025.
Effective August 1, 2024, the Health & Human Services Accelerator (HHSA) will be decommissioned. Invoices submitted after June 14, 2024 are to be emailed to Reimbursement4schools@dcas.nyc.gov.
