DCAS Police
DCAS Police protect tenants and visitors at properties owned, leased, and operated by DCAS. The special officers maintain a uniformed law enforcement presence to screen, detect, and apprehend individuals who violate general criminal laws of New York City and New York State.
DCAS Police have significant safety responsibilities, including:

Conducting preliminary investigations of accidents, building rule violations, criminal complaints, security breaches, and thefts of both City and personal property.

Developing and implementing corrective and preventive measures.

Assisting in operational and emergency planning across DCAS and with other emergency response agencies during emergency conditions.

Manageing and administering the contract guard agreement to ensure necessary security guard staffing.

Provides active shooter training for DCAS personnel and other City agencies.
