Street Activity Permit Process

To host a street activity on your block, you must apply to the NYC Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management (CECM), through the Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO). This includes any Block Parties, Religious Events, Street Festivals, Pedestrian Plaza Events, etc.

Please note, there will be a $25.00 non-refundable application fee for all submissions. This fee is directly applied to your application at SAPO, it does not apply to Brooklyn Community Board 5.

Upon submission of your application, you will be contacted by our office with follow-up instructions on submitting approval signatures from your neighbors and/or surrounding businesses.
