SLA Application

The New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) requires that business owners who want to renew or apply for a new Liquor License, must submit a 30-day notice to their local municipality (community board) for review and support of the application.

CB5 requires that SLA applicants complete the CB5 Questionnaire, submit requested supporting documents, and attend the Public Safety & Quality of Life (PSQoL) committee meeting for initial review and recommendation. The PSQoL Committee meets every 2nd Monday at 6:00pm, from September to June.

Through this process, CB5 submits a recommendation to the NY State Liquor Authority to support or deny support, based on identified concerns.
