Children's Holiday Party
David Blaine joins in the holiday festivities.
Santa Claus made an early stop at Metropolitan Hospital on Saturday, December 17, bringing the joy of the holiday season to more than 1,500 outpatient children at the annual Children's Holiday Party. Celebrated illusionist David Blaine joined musicians, face painters, and clowns to entertain the children and families. The presents distributed at the event were gathered from various toy drives organized by volunteers and community members. The Children's Holiday Party is presented in collaboration with the Metropolitan Hospital Center Auxiliary.

On November 21, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ's Chief Executive Officer of Americas, Mr. Masa Tanaka, along with several bank representatives, distributed over 80 Thanksgiving turkeys with all the trimmings to patients and their families. Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ has had a longstanding commitment to the Metropolitan Hospital community since the early 1990s.

Take Care NY
HHC President Alan Aviles with Metropolitan Hospital staff.
Take Care NY, HHC's annual campaign promoting prevention and the importance of early detection, was held at Metropolitan Hospital Center every Wednesday in October. Hospital staff provided flu vaccines, blood pressure and glucose screening, HIV rapid testing, access to affordable health care and information on an array of health issues. Family Day Annual Health Fair
Metropolitan Hospital Center hosted its annual Family Day Health Fair on Saturday, August 13. Hospital staff and our local community partners provided health information, screenings and entertainment for the whole family. The festival was presented in collaboration with MetroPlus.View Flyer
The Power of Aging Well Annual Health Festival
Metropolitan Hospital Center hosted its annual “The Power of Aging Well” senior health festival on Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Thomas Jefferson Park. Over 600 senior citizens participated in the annual health fair, which included entertainment, art exhibits, exercise programs and health screenings.Read more View photos
