2008 Provider Satisfaction Survey Results Received
In December 2008, HHC Connectx Corporate office (125 Worth Street) mailed questionnaires to MetroPlus community providers (PCPs, specialists, community health centers, office managers) assigned to each HHC facility and emailed additional surveys to all system active HHCAdvantage users. Respondents faxed or mailed back completed forms to our office for review.

The CME Opportunity Offered to Community-Based Providers in November a Success

The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation designated this educational activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The HHC Connectx Community Physician Advisory Committee invited community physicians to a CME session on improving work flow and processes in the provider practice setting.  More than 80 attendees learned about how to implement clinical information systems in their practice, the session provided methodology and tools on how to make transitioning to electronic systems smooth and improve patient care and outcomes. In addition, a comprehensive overview of clinical information programs was offered.

HHC Connectx Workshop III
Building Productive Relationships with Community Providers
HHC Connectx hosted its third workshop on July 16th, 2008. The workshop series is part of the ongoing work dedicated to improving the delivery of coordinated health care to the NYC population. More than one hundred and thirty leaders from the Health and Hospitals Corporation, NYC Department of Health, MetroPlus, HealthFirst, and others gathered at the Jacobi Conference Center to discuss strategies for building relationships between hospitals and community providers.

HHC Connectx Launches HHCAdvantage
HHC Connectx in collaboration with the Health and Hospitals Corporation’s (HHC) Clinical Information Systems department (CIS) is rolling out HHCAdvantage. HHCAdvantage is a web-based application that facilitates effective management and tracking of the patient referral process by enhancing communication between HHC hospital referral offices and primary care providers in the community.

Provider Satisfaction Survey Results Received
In November 2007, HHC Connectx mailed questionnaires to community providers (PCPs, specialists, community health centers, office managers) who were identified as the top referrers into HHC. The overall response rate of 9%. The survey included 14 questions, which covered issues related to timely access & communications, consult reports, and training opportunities/CMEs.
