Partnerships

In order to effect real change HHC Connectx seeks partners with business partners that can assist HHC Connectx in delivering the best in service and technology to providers working in the community. These strategic business partners bring benefit to all involved including the patient, provider and HHC.

MetroPlus and Healthfirst Healthplans

Partnering with Payers
The Health and Hospitals Corporation of New York City (HHC) has continually fostered a close relationship with both Healthfirst and MetroPlus. Together they insure over 500,000 individuals predominantly in Medicaid managed care programs. HHC Connectx’s partnership with the two plans allows HHC Connectx to automatically enroll our member providers in the community with both plans. Moreover, in the spirit of collaboration both plans are working with HHC Connectx to share essential statistical data to better coordinate care to everyone’s patients.

Electronic Health Record Partnership

HHC Connectx has partnered with the New York City Department of Health to introduce an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system into community provider offices at a significantly reduced cost.  As part of a $27 million Mayoral initiative to improve the quality and efficiency of health care in NYC, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is heavily subsidizing the implementation of the award-winning eClinical Works EHR system for community based primary care practices.

To be eligible for this initiative, providers must practice in a primary care field in New York City and see Medicaid and/or Uninsured patients. Spots in the program are limited, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.Over 900 providers have already joined the program, and we hope that our affiliated providers will take advantage of this opportunity.

If you have questions about this program and its benefits, please call Reena Samantaray at DOHMH at (212)341-2263.  You can also E-mail pcip@health.nyc.gov to request an application.
