Welcome to Harlem Hospital Center

Harlem Hospital Center provides a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and family support services to the residents of Central Harlem, West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood.

The hospital is a 286 bed acute care facility and a designated Level 1 Trauma Center, with a full spectrum of specialty services, including a burn unit, an adult intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a cardiac care unit.

The New Harlem Hospital
Mayor Bloomberg marks the completion of the main construction phase of one of the largest major public hospital modernization projects in the city at the opening of new Mural Pavilion.

Harlem Hospital Center has received national recognition as a Bariatric Center of Excellence and a Baby Friendly Hospital. In addition, Harlem Hospital Center has expanded its reach to the Islamic community with the opening of the Medina Clinic.
