Workshops

Workforce1 Career Centers offer a variety of skill-building workshops that will help you put your best foot forward with employers and make you more likely to get the job offer you want.

Workshops offered virtually by Workforce1 Career Centers include:

  • Résumé and cover letter preparation
  • Identifying job skills and abilities
  • Interviewing skills
  • Understanding and using job training vouchers (also known as Individual Training Grants)

We’ve developed our workshops so we can share what we’ve learned with you, but it is up to you to put it into action as you refine your résumé and prepare for your interview. Stand out from the stacks of résumés so your future employer remembers you.

  • Create a Résumé: Need to write your first résumé? This workshop will help you create a résumé that is clear and compelling.
  • Résumé Upgrade: Tired of sending your résumés and getting no response? Market your skills and experience more successfully by learning what employers look for and using it to give your résumé a competitive edge.
  • Acing the Interview: Learn techniques that will turn your natural nervousness into confidence. Discover the common interview questions employers ask and how to best answer them. A good resume gets you in the door... but a successful interview will get you the job!
