Conditional Release

Conditional release allows individuals sentenced to one year or less in a NYC jail to be released prior to completing their full term. Those granted conditional release must complete one year of community supervision, overseen by the NYC Department of Probation. Once community supervision is successfully completed, the original sentence of incarceration is considered fulfilled.
