NYCHA residents are invited to attend NYCHA in Your Neighborhood, a new series of forums hosted by the Mamdani administration and NYCHA which builds on NYCHA’s commitment to resident engagement. These events will connect residents to in-person support from NYCHA for any individual housing issues and provide access to services from multiple City agencies.
At each event, NYCHA staff will host resource tables to provide residents with one-on-one assistance regarding apartment repairs, tenancy concerns, environmental issues, and more. Senior NYCHA representatives will also lead small group discussions on a variety of topics, including but not limited to heat, pests and waste, mold, lead, and public safety.
Representatives from multiple City agencies will also be available to connect residents to additional services and support, including the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Department of Youth and Community Development, and the Department for the Aging.
