In 2024, NYC Media, the official broadcast network and production group for the City of New York and part of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, proudly announced a partnership with international news organization Deutsche Welle (DW) to provide New Yorkers with 44 new television programs in both English and Spanish on the NYC World Channel (Channel 73 and other cable carriers). The new content, a combination of straight news analysis, features, specials and original information programs from around the world, will include 63 hours of English language programming (8am-5pm) and 49 hours of Spanish language programming (5pm-midnight), weekly.
