The NYC Public Engagement Unit (PEU) partners with community-based organizations across the five boroughs to connect New Yorkers with vital City resources. Whether your organization hosts events or provides direct services, we want to collaborate with you.
New federal rules are changing SNAP work requirements for some New Yorkers. Starting this year, certain adults may need to work, attend job training, or volunteer to keep their benefits. If these rules apply to you, you may need to take action each month to avoid losing your SNAP benefits.
This program offers affordable bike access to help create healthier, safer communities. There's no annual commitment required. Join us in spreading the word to support transportation equity in our community.
There are over 70 programs and services available to help New Yorkers save valuable time and money. PEU's Special Projects Team conducts benefits screenings to help New Yorkers find out what they may be eligible for and navigate the application process. Help us spread the word!

PEU partners with the Department of Social Services to spread awareness about NYC Fair Fares. Using the Fair Fares NYC MetroCard, eligible New York City residents receive a 50% discount on subway and eligible bus fares. Help get the word out by sharing the materials in their toolkit!
