The BMCR community call for art features students and local artists from the Two Bridges neighborhood. Artists were encouraged to draw inspiration from themes related to community, climate change, and/or resilience. The artwork was installed on site in June 2025, and it remains on display at three areas within the project area: on Robert F. Wagner Sr. Place at South Street, on South Street at Rutgers Slip, and on the esplanade at the Market Slip crossover. These locations are highlighted in orange on the map below. All panel artwork will also be on display here in the weeks ahead.
We would like to thank all our artists for their incredible contributions, as well as P.S. 184m Shuang Wen School, P.S. 001 Alfred E. Smith Elementary School, Hamilton Madison House, Manny Cantor Center, Community Board 3 Parks Committee, Two Bridges Neighborhood Council, and Two Bridges Resident Association for their support on this program.
If you have any questions, please contact the Community Engagement team.
