New Yorkers’ Top Housing Questions, Answered: Free NYC Classes for Renters and Homeowners

Background:

In a city of more than 8 million, nearly every New Yorker will have a housing question at some point—whether about applying for affordable housing lottery, navigating Housing Court, preventing deed theft, or maintaining the home they’ve lived in for decades. That’s why the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), in partnership with NYC Public Schools’ Parent University, is offering free virtual classes throughout the summer to provide expert answers to frequently asked housing questions.

All classes are free, taught over Zoom, and have live interpretation in Spanish, Chinese, and Bangla is available for select sessions (noted in bold).
