    The FDNY promoted members of Fire Operations to several officer ranks during a ceremony on Thursday, May 29, on Staten Island.

    Among the promoted members was Firefighter Mark Dziemian, of Engine 217, who was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Dziemian has been hospitalized since going into cardiac arrest while operating at a 2-alarm fire in Brooklyn in March.
