No Trash, Compost or Recycling Collection on Independence Day, Friday, July 4

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there would be no trash, Curbside Composting, or recycling collection on Friday, July 4, 2025, Independence Day.

• Residents who normally receive Friday trash or Curbside Composting collection should place their material at the curb Friday evening for collection starting Saturday, July 5.
• Residents who normally receive Friday recycling collection should hold their material for a week, and place it at the curb the evening of Thursday, July 10 for collection on Friday, July 11. 

Please note that residents may experience collection delays, as is common after holidays. We appreciate patience as we work to collect the backlog of material.
