On Saturday October 17, 2015, the Public Design Commission opened City Hall to the public as part of Open House New York Weekend.
The event exceeded all expectations, with more than 1000 visitors, and City Hall was listed as one of the top ten sites to visit in Architectural Digest.
The Commission was proud to participate in an event that, in the words of Mayor Bill de Blasio, succeeds in "opening the doors of our buildings to inspire the next generation of urban designers and... paying tribute to the architectural legacy of the five boroughs."
The Commission provides public tours of City Hall year-round. Request a tour of City Hall.
