What is taking place? Ferrari Express applied for a variance from section 24-163 of the Administrative Code, which prohibits vehicle idling. The company states that its vehicles need to idle for safety reasons as well as to safeguard property.

A copy of this petition is posted on the DEP website in the “Transportation Emissions” section.

DEP has received at least one objection to the approval of the variance petition. When there is an objection to a variance petition, section 24-110 of the Administrative Code requires DEP to hold a public hearing.
