Civil Service Pathways Fellowship (CSPF)

Civil Service Pathways Fellowship Logo

The Civil Service Pathways Fellowship (CSPF) is a DCAS/CUNY partnership that provides CUNY graduates with pathways to permanent civil service employment. The two-year fellowship matches talented university graduates to in-demand career city government job opportunities in three areas:

  • Policy and Program Analysis
  • Finance and Procurement
  • Data and Digital Services

CSPF participants take civil service exams that coincide with the successful completion of their first year in the program. To prepare them for permanent roles in city government, fellows receive on-going training, mentoring, and individualized support throughout the program.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a fellow, agencies must have repurposed lines approved by the Office of Management and Budget by dates specified during each CSPF recruitment period. Interested agencies must also submit completed Fellowship Position Description forms and must be willing to participate in the selection interviews once potential fellows have been identified. Agency placement descriptions and funding forms will be available when recruitment starts for the next CSPF cohort.
