Kings County Hospital Center has set up a hotline for grief counseling and mental health services with counselors in the wake of the January 12 earthquake in Haiti.

As part of ongoing efforts to assist the people of Haiti and the Haitian community in New York following the catastrophic January 12 earthquake, HHC published an open letter in several community newspapers and Haitian Creole publications.

Help HHC Help Haiti

The HHC Foundation has established a Haiti Relief Fund, similar to the one created to help New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, to coordinate the New York City public healthcare system's response to assist the Haitian people both in Haiti and in NYC.

The HHC effort will begin with a collection of financial donations. HHC will also identify medical volunteers who may be willing to travel to Haiti and the types of supplies and equipment that are needed for medical relief efforts.
