The Red Hook Coastal Resiliency (RHCR) project* is a coastal protection project funded by the City of New York, and Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) and the New York State Department of Emergency and Homeland Security Services (DSHES), aimed at reducing flood risks due to coastal storm surge and sea level rise along Red Hook's waterfront, while also integrating with the community fabric, and improving the long-term resiliency of the neighborhood.
Please refer back to this page as the project develops for more information.
*The Red Hook Coastal Resiliency (RHCR) Project was previously called the Red Hook Integrated Flood Protection System.
