"I value my life"

My father passed away 13 days before I was born due to gun violence. My mother had to get a transfer from Wyckoff housing development in Brooklyn to Red Fern Houses in Far Rockaway to keep the rest of my family safe. I joined the PLC because; I want to make a difference in my community. I don’t want anyone to grow up the same way I did –in fear. Every child deserves the right to go to their local park and not wonder if they are going to be hurt. I value my life and I want to send the message to young people that their life is worth more.
