Free Phase IIs

OER has federal funds to investigate and cleanup public and private property in New York City.

The office has funds from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for Phase I and Phase II studies of public sites and sites controlled by community based organizations seeking to develop new buildings in their communities.

The office has federal funds to investigate former gas station sites or other sites with petroleum contamination. OER will fund petroleum investigations of private sites.

OER also has federal funds to remediate sites where the city Department of Housing Preservation and Development is financing construction of affordable or supportive housing. OER makes $80,000 grants to affordable housing projects and zero-interest loans of approximately $150,000 to supportive housing projects.
