The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Congratulates our "Made in NY" Golden Globes Awards Winners

Local NYC film and television productions take home 7 statues, from a total of 26 nominations


NEW YORK, NY, January 6, 2020 – The NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates the "Made in NY" winners at the 77th Golden Globes Awards, which took place last night in Los Angeles. NYC film and television productions won 7 Golden Globes, from a total of 26 nominations for 13 productions (which included 5 feature films, and 8 episodic and limited series).

Among this year's "Made in NY" winners were "The Loudest Voice," "Fosse/Verdon," "Succession," "Joker" and "Ramy." "The Golden Globes' recognition of our 'Made in NY' productions is a testament to the strength of New York City's talent pool and the local infrastructure supporting television and film," said Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Anne del Castillo. "We're so proud of all the nominees and winners, as well as the more than 130,000 New Yorkers who work in the industry."
