The Film and TV Business Supports NYC's Workforce & Economy

In 2025, MOME embarked on a public awareness campaign that highlighted the importance of the film and television industries to NYC's workforce and economy. NYC's film and TV production industry generates approximately $82B in economic impact, and supports 185,000 jobs and thousands of small businesses according to a 2021 economic impact report.

The campaign, which appeared on local television, digital media, social and outdoor media, featured real New Yorkers working in the field as well as small business owners that have benefited from production in their neighborhoods. You can view the PSA here.
