"All in NYC: Neighborhood Getaways Bookstores" Program Promotes Local Booksellers While Offering New Yorkers Holiday Discounts

"Beloved Bookstores" includes special offers and money back on purchases


WHAT: The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) has rolled out the All In NYC: Neighborhood Getaways Bookstores, an evergreen campaign that urges New Yorkers to support independent bookstores this holiday season and beyond.

WHERE: The campaign promotes NYC's local publishing industry, providing contact information for the city's indie booksellers throughout the five boroughs via MOME's website at nyc.gov/nycbookstores, as well as a "Beloved Bookstores" page on the NYC and Company site that features special offers including money back on certain purchases at certain bookstores.

WHO: "All In NYC: Neighborhood Getaways Bookstores" was kicked off at an event at the Strand Bookstore on Small Business Saturday, November 29 by Mayor de Blasio and MOME's Commissioner, Anne del Castillo, with the Commissioner of NYC Small Business Services (SBS), Jonnel Doris; Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney; and the Manhattan Borough President, Gale Brewer.

WHEN: The campaign will run during the holiday season and beyond.
