This celebration comes as NYC takes steps to support the film/TV industry and expand the city’s reputation as a global production hub. New additions to the city’s studio infrastructure, the extension to the New York State Film Tax Credit, and this administration’s commitment to making film production frictionless, offer compelling location options and incentives for those who want to film in NYC. According to a report from 2021, the industry is responsible for generating $82 billion in economic activity and supporting 185,000 jobs.
