Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Congratulates NYC Oscar Winners

NYC film productions and filmmakers take home five trophies


NEW YORK, February 10, 2020 – The NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates the NYC winners at the 92nd annual Academy Awards, which took place last night in Los Angeles. NYC productions and filmmakers took home five Oscars, including two trophies for "Joker."

"Hollywood's biggest night put a spotlight on New York City's incredible talent," said NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Anne del Castillo. "We are so proud of all our winners and nominees represented across all the Oscar categories."

  • Jeff Reichert - Best Documentary Feature, "American Factory"
  • Carol Dysinger - Best Documentary Short Subject, "Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl)"
  • Marshall Curry - Best Short Film Live Action, "The Neighbor's Window"
