NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Announces Spring 2025 "Made in NY" Talks

Signature Series with Focus on Job Opportunities for New Yorkers Returns; Full Schedule Available at https://www.centerforcommunication.org/calendar


NEW YORK - The NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) is pleased to announce the Spring 2025 schedule for the "Made in NY" Talks series. Presented in partnership with the Center for Communication, the series brings together industry leaders to share insights, information and news with New Yorkers looking to work in the media and entertainment industries. The talks are in-person, free and open to the public.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with the Center for Communication on the “Made in NY” Talks series which, this Spring, provides resources and information on how to begin a career in NYC’s world-famous entertainment industry,” said Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, Pat Swinney Kaufman. “With the proposed extension of the NY state film tax credit, and expansion of our infrastructure through new studios across the boroughs, and our administration’s commitment to making this a ‘City of Yes’ in terms of film production, these panels come at a perfect time for interested New Yorkers to explore opportunities in film and television production.”

Careers in Music: Live Entertainment
Monday, February 24, 6:30 to 8:00 PM
BRIC Arts Media, 647 Fulton Street (enter on Rockwell Place), Brooklyn, NY
Find out how you can channel your passion for music into a career in live entertainment event production. Hear from program directors, talent bookers, and others about the variety of roles behind putting on a live performance and the exciting, adrenaline-filled challenges of making sure that the show goes on.
