Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Congratulates NYC 2025 GRAMMY® Winners


NEW YORK, February 4, 2025
- The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates NYC's 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards® winning artists, including members of the Recording Academy® New York Chapter, and native New Yorkers. The awards show was held Sunday, February 2 in Los Angeles and helped to drive awareness for fire relief programs, such as MusiCares®, to support those affected by the LA wildfires.

During the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, NYC born and raised Lady Gaga performed “California Dreaming,” alongside Bruno Mars, in a tribute to the state and its current wildfire disaster. The singer also took home the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song with Mars, "Die With A Smile.” NYC legend Jon Batiste took home two awards – both for the music from “American Symphony.” Former NYC Women’s Fund recipient Samara Joy also won two awards, for Best Jazz Performance and Best Jazz Vocal Album. Currently running on Broadway, “Hell’s Kitchen” from producer and NYC resident Alicia Keys, took home Best Musical Theatre Album.
