The deadline for Open Enrollment has been extended!
Health coverage is now more affordable than ever, and now New Yorkers have more time to enroll. But don't delay! Enroll by the 15th of the month for health coverage starting on the 1st of the following month.
New Yorkers who don't have health coverage should contact PEU's GetCoveredNYC team right away to be in touch with a Specialist to get started. Head to nyc.gov/GetCoveredNYC or call 311 and say GetCoveredNYC and a Specialist will be in touch with you to help you through the process.
Thank you for helping with spreading the word about how New Yorkers can get health insurance. GetCoveredNYC helps New Yorkers in the five boroughs enroll in health insurance, including low- or no-cost options, under the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare).
Here's how you can help:
You may be eligible for free health insurance coverage! Complete the form on our website to receive free enrollment assistance in your language. You can also call 311 or text CoveredNYC (SeguroNYC en Español) to 877877 to be connected to a GetCoveredNYC Specialist. Learn more here: nyc.gov/GetCoveredNYC

To raise awareness about this critical upcoming deadline, the Public Engagement Unit (PEU), in partnership with the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene, hosted a GetCoveredNYC Day of Action on January 19 to encourage New Yorkers to get enrolled. Our staff reached 370,000 New Yorkers and helped them to get enrolled in health coverage!
