We are accepting applications from 2026 law school graduates for our Family Court, Tort and Workers’ Compensation Divisions to join the office in the Fall of 2026.
Applicants must have sat for the July 2026 UBE and have taken and passed the MPRE and NYLE while in law school or must be registered for the August MPRE and/or September NYLE.

Applications should include a cover letter, resume, two writing samples, unofficial transcript, and a list of three individuals who would serve as references (including their name, title, email address, phone number and a brief description of their working relationship to the candidate). We encourage candidates to include in their cover letter the names of divisions that they are most interested in. If you are interested in more than one division, please only submit one application indicating your primary division of interest and note the additional division(s) of interest in your cover letter. Before submitting an application, we also encourage candidates to review our application guidelines.

Recent graduates who will complete a judicial clerkship or academic fellowship in 2026-2027 are eligible to apply to our 2027 Entry Class. Recent graduates who are admitted may also consult Law Department opportunities for admitted attorneys. Recent graduates who are less than three years out of law school may also apply to our Corporation Counsel Honors Fellowship Program.
Law school graduates who would like to be notified as positions become available at the Law Department may input their contact information on our email listserv. The Law Department will retain email addresses for six months and will advise candidates of job postings during that time only.
