Disaster Recovery

The Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations (HRO) was created in the wake of Hurricane Sandy to lead the city’s response to and recovery from the historic superstorm with a particular focus on one-to-four family homes. In the years since, we have led response to Hurricane Ida and are regularly activated to assist in recovery from other disasters.
