The 2021 Symposium: The Rise of Community During Emergencies is a free virtual event that discussed best practices for communities preparing, responding, and recovering during COVID-19 and other emergencies. During 2020, communities everywhere in New York City banded together to help their neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn.
This ninth annual symposium provided insight from community leaders, researchers and emergency managers for strengthening every New York City community's emergency response.
