Audrey Feldman serves as DOI’s Acting Deputy Commissioner/Chief of Investigations and is also Inspector General of Squad 6. Audrey joined DOI in 2019 as the Deputy Inspector General for Squad 2, where her work included supervising numerous investigations involving the City Department of Social Services’ employees and vendors. Since 2022, she has been the Inspector General for Squad 6, overseeing the City’s Fire Department, Sanitation Department, Taxi & Limousine Commission, Office of Emergency Management, and Conflicts of Interest Board (COIB). In that capacity, she has overseen an array of investigations, from a complex bribery investigation that led to the convictions and prison sentences of two high-level chiefs in the Fire Department; a covert operation that led to the arrest, and ultimate guilty plea, of an EMT who stole cash from a DOI undercover investigator posing as a sick patient; and an investigation into the COIB’s advisory opinion and moonlighting waiver practices that resulted in a public report.
Audrey holds both undergraduate and law degrees from New York University, where she completed her J.D. in 2014. Before joining DOI, she worked as an attorney at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello LLP and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, focusing on white-collar criminal defense.
