Get $50 off your next water bill by enrolling in Autopay today.
Autopay allows you to pay your bill automatically on the due date or a specific date each month, and avoid the hassle of remembering to pay on time. Plus, setting it doesn’t mean forgetting it—you’ll get monthly notices that your payment is scheduled and paid.
To save the $50 on your next bill, you need to be enrolled in e-billing, monthly billing and sign up for autopay through your My DEP account.
For questions or concerns, please see our FAQ below.
*Please note that you are required to stay current on your bills and be enrolled in autopay, e-billing, and monthly billing for 6 months after the $50 credit is applied to your account. If any of these qualifying actions are altered, your $50 credit will be revoked.

How can I apply for the Autopay Incentive Program?
There is no formal application needed to apply for this program. In order to qualify for the $50 credit, you simply need to:
Am I eligible for the program?
You are eligible if you signed up for autopay after 6/16/2023, and you are already enrolled in monthly billing, e-billing and are not delinquent on your bills. Customers with current Payment Agreements, WDAP, and bankruptcy are eligible as long as the account is not delinquent.
Why am I not eligible for this program?
If you enrolled for autopay prior to 6/16/2023, you are not eligible for this program. If your account is billed annually, you are not eligible for this program as monthly billing is required for this program. Only the property owners can trigger the autopay credit, delegate profiles are not able to sign up for e-billing and cannot trigger credit.
How soon should I expect the $50 credit?
The account will be credited automatically once the criteria are met. Customers will receive a $50 credit on their next bill after their first autopayment brings their account balance down to $0.00.
Can my $50 credit be revoked?
Yes, if any of the qualifying conditions are not met for 6 months, your $50 will be revoked. You must stay on autopay, monthly billing, e-billing, and your account must stay in good standing for at least 6 months after the credit is applied to your account.
Can I request a refund for the $50 credit on my account?
No, this is a non-refundable credit and will be applied to your future bills.
If I have multiple accounts, am I eligible for a $50 credit on each account?
If a customer has multiple accounts, all accounts can be eligible for the non-refundable $50.00 one-time credit, if all the program requirements are met. If you have delegated access to the account, you will not be able to trigger the credit.
Who can I contact to find out more about the program?
You can call DEP during business hours Monday, 8am–7pm; Tuesday to Friday, 8am–6pm; Saturday, 9am–12pm at (718) 595-7000. Please note that only property owners can enroll in autopay, monthly billing, and e-billing. DEP staff cannot enroll customers’ accounts into these services.
