The company seeks a variance of section 24-163 of the New York City Pollution Control Code on the basis of its business needs for security, as an armored truck company.

As part of its variance application, Ferrari Express proposes to reduce idling by electrifying 4 of the 9 vehicles, equivalent to 49% of the fossil fuel-powered medium duty armored vehicles in its NYC fleet, by the end of 2025. In addition, the remaining 5 vehicles will be equipped with anti-idling technologies that will incorporate battery-powered HVAC systems by the end of 2025.

Ferrari Express is requesting a variance from Section 24-163 of the Air Code.
