On November 7th 2016, New York City Department of Design and Construction Commissioner Feniosky Pena-Mora and Deputy Commissioner for Community Partnerships and STEAM Initiatives Lee Llambelis attended the ACE Mentor Program Fall Reception at the Sony Tower. ACE’s Fall Cocktail Reception highlights innovative construction and design projects around New York City. Previous receptions highlighted the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and 7 World Trade Center. Presentation speakers noted that the Sony building was originally meant to be the tallest building in NYC, but the stock market crashed and construction halted.
