Sadie Prego

Sadie Prego serves as Design Strategist at the NYC Civic Engagement Commission, where she develops strategies that use social innovation and experience design to strengthen how New Yorkers engage in civic life across digital, hybrid, and in-person spaces. Since joining CEC in 2024, her work has focused on participatory and systems-aware design, creating responsive systems that expand participation, build institutional knowledge, and make complex processes intuitive and meaningful. Past collaborations include Alphabet, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, the National Women's History Museum, and Queens Public Library. Outside of her public-sector work, Sadie produces an independent artist exchange, connecting across scenes, mediums, cultures, and borders. She has also shared her work as a resident, speaker, and facilitator at spaces including Pioneer Works, NYC Resistor, SVA Visible Futures Lab, Gray Area Theater, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Sadie has a BA in Computer Science and lives in Brooklyn with her husband.
