Roxy Chang

Roxy Chang (she/her) is a trilingual community organizer, language justice interpreter and trainer with 10 years of experience. Originally from Hong Kong, she is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Her background in tenant organizing informed her vision in language justice, as her work heavily focused on organizing Chinese-speaking communities, working with communities of color and multilingual spaces, in partnership with other City and Statewide coalitions. She has served as a core coordinator of Gongming Collective — a group of Chinese interpreters for Language Justice since 2018 that provided interpretation and translation for over 50 community organizations and groups. Recently, she finished teaching NYC Community Interpreter Bank's first Cantonese/Mandarin community interpreters' cohort.
