Marina is honored and excited to join the Language Assistance Advisory Committee. Marina has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2022, when she joined the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) through the COVID-19 Disparities Grant program. She currently serves as a program coordinator at JCCGCI's Trauma Recovery Center, supporting trauma survivors with mental health services, and is deputy lead for Southern Brooklyn COAD, focused on emergency response in the Coney Island area. Previously, Marina worked as a digital marketing specialist in theater and entertainment, a business consultant, and an ESL teacher and curriculum designer. She holds an MBA from IE Business School in Spain and a BA from Carnegie Mellon University. She is also certified to teach English to speakers of other languages. Born in Russia and raised between Russia and Ukraine, Marina moved to New York at 14. After college, she spent a decade in Mexico City and enjoys connecting across cultures. She is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
