Jean C. Romulus is a public health professional, educator, and community engagement leader committed to improving the health and well-being of New Yorkers. He serves with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Bureau of Public Health Clinics, where he builds partnerships with community-based organizations, faith institutions, and local stakeholders to expand access to care.
Jean brings over a decade of experience across government, nonprofit, and academic sectors, with a focus on culturally responsive, trauma-informed community engagement. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Wagner and the Managing Partner of Romulus & Son LLC, a consulting firm supporting purpose-driven organizations in the Public Health and Education sectors.
As a proud member of the Haitian diaspora, Jean is fluent in Haitian Creole and is committed to ensuring language is never a barrier to care or civic participation. He serves as Board Secretary of the Haitian American Military Association (HAMA) and the Diaspora Legacy Collective, where he supports initiatives that strengthen community leadership and engagement.
