DeNora Getachew

DeNora Getachew is the CEO of DoSomething, the 33-year-old hub for youth-driven leadership and service. DoSomething has mobilized over 8 million young people, and today, more than 1 million young people are engaging with its innovative digital platform—connecting with causes they care about and finding ways to make a difference in their communities.

She is a democracy lawyer who has worked in government and the nonprofit sector to promote free and fair elections and a multiracial democracy. She has served on the NYS Public Campaign Financing Commission and the NYS Civic Readiness Task Force, among other volunteer service roles. DeNora chairs the board of Higher Heights for America and is the President of the Greater New York Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
