Allison Corbett

Allison Corbett (she/her) is a Spanish-English interpreter, language justice consultant, and oral historian living in Brooklyn. She currently serves as the director of Colibrí Academy for HIV and Language Justice and consults as part of the collaboration Decentering Dominance. Originally from Virginia, Allison has lived in New York City since 2013 and has previously been active in organizations such as Word Up Community Bookshop's volunteer collective and Sanctuary Neighborhoods. She believes passionately that speakers of all languages benefit when we invest in cross-language communication within our communities.
