Aicha Cisse

Aicha Cisse is a multilingual community leader, cultural advocate, and peace-building commissioner with over a decade of experience empowering immigrant, African diaspora, and multicultural communities across New York City. She currently serves as Vice Cultural Chair of the African Advisory Council and First Deputy Secretary of the Muslim Advisory Council of New York, helping to bridge communication between government agencies and diverse communities. She also serves as an Interfaith Delegate with the Sharaka Organization, engaging in international peace-building and global dialogue. Her work spans community organizing, translation, social-service advocacy, and youth support, with a strong focus on women’s empowerment, access to services, and cross-cultural understanding. Fluent in seven languages, Aicha is widely recognized as a trusted mediator and cultural connector, and her leadership has been honored by the Bronx Borough President, the NYC Council, the New York State Assembly and Senate, as well as international institutions for her contributions to community empowerment and global engagement.
